Konsyl-D contains the active ingredient Psyllium Hydrophilic Mucilloid or simply Psyllium. Psyllium is a natural dietary fibre originating from the plant Plantago ovata. It may also be referred to as Ispaghula husk and belongs to a group of medicines known as bulk forming laxatives.
Konsyl-D is used for the relief of occasional constipation. It works by increasing the amount of water and stool bulk in the bowel, promoting normal bowel activity. Konsyl-D generally produces its laxative effect in 12-72 hours.

• Adult and children 12 years and over: take 1 rounded teaspoonful (6.5g), mixed in 250ml of water or other fluid, 1 to 3 times daily.
• Children 6 to 12 years of age: take 1/2 rounded teaspoonful (3.25g), mixed in 250ml of water or other fluid, 1 to 3 times daily.

• Konsyl-D is not suitable if you have swallowing difficulties or are unable to drink enough fluids every day
• Not recommended for children under 6 years of age
