Habitrol Lozenge provides an effective aid to combat the unpleasant withdrawal symptoms caused by giving up smoking.

Habitrol Lozenges are a proven type of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). Habitrol Lozenges help you give up smoking by alleviating the unpleasant symptoms associated with nicotine withdrawal. These symptoms can include headaches, sweating, irritability, anxiety and mood swings. They are often a disincentive to quit smoking. When you suck on a Habitrol Lozenge, small amounts of nicotine become released and are absorbed through the lining of the mouth. This provides the smoker with a controlled way to satisfy the body's craving for nicotine.

Ingredients: Contains 9.8 mg sodium/lozenge (equivalent to 245mg/25 lozenges) which should be taken into account by those on a low sodium diet. Contains 0.88g maltitol/lozenge (quivalent to 22g/25 lozenges). Products containing maltitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea. Contains aspartame, a source of phenylalanine which may be harmful for people with phenylketonuria.

Dosage: Read the instruction leaflet included which offers a regimented programme. Place lozenge in mouth. Allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly without chewing or swallowing. You may notice a warm or tingling sensation in your mouth. Move the lozenge from one side of your mouth to the other while it is dissolving. Do not eat or drink for 15 minutes before use.

Precautions: Do not smoke while you are using nicotine. Stop smoking as soon as your treatment begins. Smoking while using this medication can be dangerous. Check with your Doctor first if you have heart, liver, kidney diseases, diabetes, stomach ulcer or asthma.
